This is an original engraved Vietnam Zippo lighter from 1960’s - 1975 Vietnam war era. I purchased it in Vietnam by myself.
The back has been scraped back to brass and re engraved. Can’t make out what’s under but maybe the soldier died in a different company or was transferred and it was re engraved.
The zippo doesn’t have its original insert but a brand new one which has never been used and is in working order, the reason for this is simple, often it cannot be sent with a used insert.
The lighter case is in a used condition with some signs of wear.
The insert is brand new so it clicks upon opening like the trade mark Zippo it is and as it should.
Overall a very rare and collectible original Vietnam zippo with lots of historical and social significance
