Gordon McLendon was the founder of Liberty Broadcasting Network who aired daily Major League Baseball games in the 1940's. Gordon McLendon is best known for his coverage of the New York Giants vs Brooklyn Dodgers playoff game on October 3, 1951 with the call of Bobby Thompson's home run with “the Giants win the Pennant”.
